Bocking

So what is bocking, I hear you ask? Put simply, bocking involves performing stunts and tricks on spring-loaded stilts. Seeing as how the stilts give the wearer the ability to jump 1.5 meters into the air, take 3 meter strides and run at nearly twenty miles an hour, the results can be seriously impressive! The name 'bocking' comes from Alexander Bock, the sport's inventor. You'll be able to get an idea of what bocking is all about as there will be daily displays on the White Air urban park from the team, so hop to it and make sure you're there!

What is Bocking?
Bockers are powered by the gravitational force created when the person using them applies downward pressure, this pressure is converted to energy that propels the user into the air. To create this pressure the person on the Bockers needs to be of the correct weight in order to create enough force to lift them up. Too light and no upward force is created, too heavy and the Bockers can't create the energy needed to push the user upwards as the springs are 'dampened' by the extra weight.
Basically these are springy stilts which you strap yourself into. They allow you to jump as if you were on a trampoline, and allow long leaping strides. The word 'Poweriser' is used to mean any stilt but the general term for these stilts is 'Powerbocks'
